The children visited 'MPC' Media Department at UEL for a day to experiment with 'ADOBE PHOTOSHOP' and they learnt about computer-aided design and fabrication techniques in the ‘MAGICbox’ laboratory. They learnt about tools and terms in digital imaging such as the 'magic wand', 'filters', 'layers', ‘healing tool’, ‘dust & scratches’, ‘vectorising’, ‘ bitmap’ and ‘pixels’. They also made simple paper cut outs and drawings on the theme of the river which were montaged on the windows of the laboratory. They also made some simple engravings from their images on the laser cutter. These images show a small selection of all the experimental work made.
